Hi all, I've opened a patreon account. Here is the link:

www.patreon.com/janemere

I’ve set up 3 tiers for now, on a per-creation basis:

In Tier I ($1), you can get the high quality JPEG format file for a painting. (The width may change in the future, for now it’s 2000 px. )

In Tier II ($5), you can get the PSD file (smaller than original, width 1000 px) of the painting, with the original layer structure.

In Tier III ($8), you can get a bigger PSD file (width 2000 px), with detailed notes and explanations about my ideas, references, general procedure, brushes, references, and sometimes explanations for specific steps in certain layers.

Tier III中文版 has the same contents as Tier III, in Chinese. If you would like to see a Japanese version, please let me know.

For the first piece I’m uploading the contents about the warrior in bliaut.

Hi all, I was asked whether I have a patreon account, so I'm thinking of opening one.

The item-based rewards I'm thinking about are:
1. High quality jpeg file (witdh 2000 px).
2a. PSD file with original layer structure (width 1000 px).
2b. PSD file without original layer structure, but with explanation layers (notes about my thoughts, references, ways of constructing the current painting etc. ) (width 2000 px)
3. PSD file with both the original layer structure and the explanation layers (width 2000 px).

Will you be interested? And what else would you like to see? (At this point full-length video procedures are too time- and energy- consuming for me, so it's not an option for now. )

In case you're interested in knowing what brush setting I'm using in my paintings, here are 3 of my most used brushes (in Photoshop).

Hello everyone,

I'm planning to make a tutorial about 'how to paint cloth', particularly the folding and coloring of cloth.

To make the tutorial more informative, if you have any specific questions or difficulties in painting cloth, please leave a comment about your question here.

I'll summarize the questions later in a list and cover them in the tutorial. I can also talk about some of them during my livestreaming next time.

Do you guys think it's ok? You can also make some more suggestions :)

Here is the list of topics that I'm going to cover in the upcoming tutorials:

T1: Structure and flow of fabrics,
including: all kinds of forces put on a piece of fabric, some most common folds, flow of cloth, and a bit about light and shadow.

T2: Various types of cloth,
including: wool/cotton, silk/satin, translucent cloth; the thickness and weight.

T3: How to use references, (since it's very important, I think it deserves a separate tutorial)
some detailed information about what kind of references to use, and how to observe them. An example of using tissue paper as a reference.

T4: Various kinds of clothes
tight: e.g. swimsuit
loose: shirt, frills
common shapes of the folds/creases around the body

Seems that it'll take a long time...I'll try to be not too slow.
